We had the Ito-wagyu (small), the wagyu tongue, and a long karubi beef plate, together w a horenso salad. the wagyu was good value, because having stayed in Singapore for quite a while now, I realise that most restaurants serve aussie wagyu, which for me falls short compared to its Japanese counterpart.
Although this place is a franchise and a bit pricey- we really like Gyu- Kaku for a special occasion! We're happy to have more Asian BBQ places in MN! I strongly recommend you to make reservations prior. For the most part I think the quality of the meat is good- not great or the best but fair.

But J was feeling good and wanted to have yakiniku, so we gave Gyu-kaku another try. This was our table. The grill is in the middle of the table. Itās currently covered. The menus are on top. Gyu-Kaku is a great spot for Japanese BBQ! There's always a long wait on weekends (and for good reason too). We got the family meal that feeds 4 but my family doesn't eat alot so it ended up being just the right amount for 6. There's a large variety but we got the family meal for convenience. It can get noisy but nothing intolerable.
Gyu-Kaku in Japan represents value; in Singapore it is a little pricey. The beef in Japan is also a little more tender. Service was not impressive at this branch. The manager had a couldn't be bothered attitude and this of course will affect the service standard of his staff.
